Scope of the project - Bikaner, the project started - in September 2014, to root out the practice like child marriage prevailing in the state and empowerment of adolescent girlsThe empowerment of adolescent girls against child marriage project jointly by Urmul Trust, Bikaner and Catapult is being conducted in the Sridungargarh block of Bikaner district.by the institution. Since September 2014, this project is being implemented in 06 villages of 03-gram panchayats of Sridungargarh block of Bikaner district.Project Objective:1. To organize by forming groups of adolescent girls.2. Establishing adolescent girls in society and imparting life skill training.3. Mental and intellectual development of adolescent girls through sports.4. Linking adolescent girls associated with Sabla Yojana to school.5. Linking adolescent girls with government schemes.6. To make adolescent girls aware by giving them information about child marriage.7. Getting marriage registration done.8. In order to create an environment in society against malpractices like child marriage, adolescent girlsPrepare and empower.The details of the activities conducted under the project are as follows:Formation of adolescent girl groups:Adolescent girl's groups were formed in 03-gram panchayats of the project area with the aim of organizing them to establish themselves in society.Kishori Girl Life Skill Training:Adolescent girls' life skill training was organized in the villages of the project area. In this training, various possible efforts to prevent child marriage were discussed along with sharing the survey done by the organization in the villages to develop and strengthen the understanding of the damage and effect of child marriage and the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act 2006, Information was given about Right to Free Compulsory Education Act 2012 and PACS Act.Meetings of School Management Committee members:All the school management committee members of the villages of the project area were informed by discussing the issues of child marriage prevention and termination. Child Marriage Prohibition Act 2006 and the Right to Free Education Act were given detailed information about their provisions in the meetings. Efforts to connect girls deprived of education with education were also discussed and discussed.Meetings of Panchayati Raj members:All the people's representatives of the villages of the project area were informed by discussing the issues of prevention and termination of child marriage. Child Marriage Prohibition Act 2006 and the Right to Free Education Act were given detailed information about their provisions in the meetings. Efforts to connect girls deprived of education with education were also discussed and discussed.
