Scope of Project - Jodhpur, Financial Support - Child Defense India, Project Started September 2017With the aim of developing the educational and life skills of girls in Kasturba Gandhi Girls' Residential School, Urmul Trust, Bikaner and Child Defense India jointly, through qualitative education, the project of empowerment of deprived girls is being conducted in Jodhpur district by the institution. Since September 2017, the empowerment project of underprivileged girls through quality education is being implemented along with Kastruo Ba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools in 9 blocks of Mandor, Luni, Balesar, Shergarh, Phalodi, Bap, Osiya Bhopalgarh and Bilada in Jodhpur district.Project Objective:And promoting girl child education in society.And to give the girls deprived of education the right to enter the class according to their age.And to make school management committees accountable for girl child education.And to make a strong understanding on the subjects and gender to be taught to the girls.And motivating parents for the higher education of girls and related to girlsGiving information about plans.And to increase the confidence of girls to take decisions about their future.And to provide equal opportunities to girls in all fields without any discriminationTo create an atmosphere in school management committees and parents.The details of the activities conducted under the project are as follows:Baseline Survey:A baseline survey was conducted to know the status of girls in 9 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools in the project-operated area of Jodhpur district. Out of a total of 818 girls, 754 girls participated. Out of these girls, the level of 397 girls was found weak in Mathematics and Hindi.Organization of parent-teacher meetings:The baseline survey was shared by organizing parent-teacher meetings in 9 Kasturba Gandhi Girls' Residential Schools of the project area and the facilities available in KGBVs were discussed along with discussing 397 girls with weak status. Along with this, discussions were held with the parents to cooperate in the regular education of girls in KGBV.Cooperation in Academic Work:division detailsTotal586 321 245 566Through academic fellows working under the project in 9 KGBVs of the project area, an action plan was prepared by taking special lesson plans along with 397 girls with weak levels and teachers. Accessories were manufactured according to the needs of the girls. With this work, the standard of 223 girls improved.Participation in district-level review meetings:By participating in 9 KGBV district-level review meetings of the project area, a decision was made to make a joint action plan with KGBV headmistresses and ADPC APC for improvement in educational activities in KGBV and KGBV-wise work was reviewed.Life skill training of girls:Two-day training programs were organized to develop and strengthen life skills and understanding of gender in the 9 Kasturba Gandhi Girls Residential Schools of the project area. In this orientation, the plan of action was discussed in detail to create an understanding of the subjects to be taught in KGBV.Participation in Kishori-Kishor Mela:With the help of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, models related to science, mathematics and other subjects were made by KGBV girls in Kishori Mela organized in 9 KGBVs of the project area. To make the fair interesting, preparations were made for competitions. The meetings were observed by district-level officials and children from other schools.Special Achievements:And 4 girls from project area KGBV have got the first position in Kabbadi and 3 girls in badminton at the state level.And out of 397 weak-level girls, 223 girls have achieved the same level as other girls.
