Project Name- E-waste Management, Project Scope- Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra & Goa, Financial Support - IFC & Karo Sambhav Private Limited,The project started - in November 2017Brief Introduction of the Program:From November 2017, Urmalu Trust, Bikaner has been launched in Bikaner and Jaipur cities of Rajasthan, Mumbai and Nagpur cities of Maharashtra and districts falling in Vidarbha region, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Surat cities of Gujarat, Panjim city of Goa and rural areas of North Goa. Work is being done for waste management. Under the project, work is being done for the enforcement of E-waste Management Rules, 2018 for the disposal of e-waste in the state in collaboration with the State Pollution Control Board, State Information Technology and Communication Department. The work of promoting the business of small and big scrap dealers collecting e-waste in a legal way and connecting them with government facilities is being done.the main purpose:Creating awareness among the bulk consumers who generate e-waste, helping them to manage e-waste in a legal and responsible manner.And to create a system for the collection of e-waste.and bulk consumers, electronic repair shops, e-waste storesBy identifying big scrap dealers and hawkers who bring e-waste from door to doorRegistering themAnd taking the help of banking services to give legal form to their business after registration,To connect them with the mainstream and to start a business under GST law.And collecting and collecting the collected and produced e-waste for recycling to the e-waste recycling unit recognized by the State Pollution Control Board.To sendand establishing a sustainable e-waste ecosystem. part ofThere should be professional and business associations, producer associations, and government departments and all should work together for e-waste management in their states.Details of works done under the project:DETAILS OF REGISTERED CUSTOMERS:E-waste collected and sent for recycling:Establishment of an e-collection centre:E-waste collection centres have been opened in Rajasthan's Bikaner and Jaipur, Maharashtra's Nagpur and Goa for disposal of e-waste by consumers. Along with this, godowns have also been opened in Bikaner and Nagpur to collect e-waste.Efforts to establish an e-waste ecosystem:And keeping in mind two rounds of talks and suggestions from the Managing Director of the Waste Management Corporation in Goa, a proposal is being prepared for e-waste management in the state of Goa. If successful, Urmul Trust and Karo Sambhav Pvt Ltd will act as a nodal agency for e-waste management in the state of Goa.And they are being informed about their work through meetings with the State Pollution Control Board of Gujarat, Rajasthan and Goa. Along with this, a meeting is being held for the implementation and enforcement of the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2018.And through meetings with the Information Technology and Communication Department, efforts are being made to issue circulars to all government and private institutions for disposal of e-waste as per the No-Waste (Management) Rules, 2018.And regular talks are being held with all the stakeholders of the field and work is being done to solve any problem in e-waste management immediately.And consignments going to accredited recycling units are being strictly screened till they are recycled so that e-waste given to them does not end up in the hands of informal disposers.Nagpurur coordinator Abhijit, who went to the morning meeting in the hawker's locality, found that his elder brother Mali was living injured in a hawker's house.
