To increase the vocational efficiency and skill of the disabled.Organization of workshop with state-level stakeholders:One day State Level Stake Holders Workshop was organized on 10th November 2016 at Jaipur under the chairmanship of Mr Dhanaram Purohit, Commissioner, Specially Abled, Jaipur. In this workshop, 42 representatives associated with various government departments, non-governmental organizations and District Disabled Rights Forum participated. In which 06 women were involved. The main objective of this workshop was to share the survey report and survey findings done in 5 districts of Rajasthan viz. Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Sirohi, Udaipur and Dungarpur under Livelihood Mapping and sensitize all stakeholders for cooperation. This Addressing the closing occasion of the workshop, the Commissioner directed all the participants to do effective and result-oriented work with priority for the disabled without any discrimination and said that even today the work regarding social and economic rehabilitation for this class is going on. There is an urgent need to do so. Together we all will work effectively to make this class strong and strong, only then this class will be able to move towards progress.Organization of workshop regarding the 3 per cent reservation system prescribed for the disabled:Under the chairmanship of Shri Harphool Pankaj, Deputy Commissioner, Specially abled, Jaipur, a state-level day workshop was organized on December 29, 2016, in Jaipur on a 3 per cent reservation system fixed for the disabled. 35 people participated in this workshop. In which 04 women were involved. The main objective of this workshop was to ensure that the 3 per cent reservation fixed for the disabled is implemented in all the government's development and poverty alleviation schemes. In this workshop, Bikaner and Chittorgarh districts were presented regarding the 3 per cent reservation to be given under the scheme related to development and poverty alleviation. It was found that under any development and poverty alleviation plan, no effort was made by the government to ensure compliance with the 3 per cent reservation system prescribed for the disabled.After this workshop, to ensure 3 per cent reservation system for the disabled, with the efforts of the Commissioner, Specially abled, Jaipur, to provide employment to all disabled according to their ability, under the "MNREGA scheme" run by the government. Rural Development Department of the Government, Jaipur, Rajasthan directed all District Collectors to provide employment to the disabled under the "MNREGA scheme" and to ensure this.Organization of tour for District Disabled Rights Forum members:Under the project, from 20-28 November 2016, with the financial support of Sitesavers, the members of the District Disabled Rights Forum and the project staff were taken on tour to see and understand the work of livelihood promotion and empowerment of the District Disabled Rights Forum in the state of Odisha. . Under which the members of the visiting team visited two districts of Odisha namely Gajnam and Gajapati districts and understood and understood the social and economic rehabilitation and empowerment activities conducted by Sitesavers. 14 District Disabled Rights Forum members and 02 staff participated in this tour program. 02 women from District Disabled Rights Forum, Bikaner was also included.
