The work area of the program - Bikaner, Baswada, Jaisalmer, Karauli, Jodhpur, Barmer, Nagaur, Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh, Project started - in March 2012, Usha International.Program Objectives:Identification and training of reference persons for tailoring training.Identification of women interested in tailoring work in rural areas.Providing training to rural women for tailoring work.Providing free sewing machines to women trained in training.To prepare trained women to run tailoring schools in the village.Identifying and preparing a list of women and girls coming to the sewing school.Running sewing schools in villages through trained women.Regular monitoring and management of schools run in villages.140 rural women were trained to run tailoring schools in the villages. All these trained women are regularly running sewing schools in their respective villages. Whose management and monitoring are also being done regularly by the workers of the organization. At present, 2661 girls and women are being trained in tailoring at the village level through 140 schools operating as per the above details. These 140 tailoring schools are being operated in 9 districts of the state through associate organizations of Urmul Trust.Satellite Tailoring School Operation Details:The satellite sewing school is being operated regularly by the organization in 9 districts of the state in the surrounding villages of the previously operated sewing school.At present, tailoring training is being given to girls and women at the village level through 413 satellite sewing schools operated as per the above details. These 413 satellite sewing schools are being operated in 09 districts of the state through associate organizations of Urmul Trust.Through the Usha Silai School, the project has been implemented by Urmool to provide employment to the women of rural areas at the local level and increase their livelihood, as well as provide new employment by training girls and women for sewing at the village level. Operations are being done regularly.
